im thinking of putting a he351vgt off a 6.7 on my 98 12v, has any one on here done this yet? if so, how are u controlling it? got any pointers?

 

Its been done. The ones I've seen used a wastegate actuator on the vgt, just simple spring controlling vane angles. Not sure if it's been done on here.

 

Fleece performance was testing a standalone controller for retrofitting them to older trucks, but I can't seem to find any info on them other then test videos on youtube.

why not a 451? would do a lot better in the pulls

 

i use some return springs and let drive pressure move the vains, cheap easy and it works great, just change out the springs until you find one or more that work for ya!

plus i don't think the controller from fleece is ready for 12 valves yet

Just bought a 351 ve, talked to fleece and said they are working on controoler for 12v should be out late Feb early March. Stang You have any pictures of how you mounted those return springs?

 

i don't have any of mine but i got the idea from a youtube video and built it very similar
