sup guys, picked up a 94 in good shape, had a b2 jammer turbo, #10 fuel plate, and striahgt piped 4in turbo back.

lookin for some easy, cheap/free ways to make some more power and roll a little more smoke. anything'll help thanks!

also, i was lookin to get a short shifter for the 4500, but its only offered for 98 up, wats the difference? will it work on mine?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

was also wonderin if there is anyone out there that makes lowering kits for 2500 diesels? mines 2wd.

With the New Venture 4500 the shifting stubb is different, I also have thought about putting a short shift kit on mine and its a 95. The short shift kit is set up to work with the threaded stub, 14mm x 1.5 pitch threads while ours are different set up...

Shifter Stub Specification
The NV4500 shifter will have a short stub sticking up from the top cover, There are 3 different methods by which a shifter extension handle attaches:

Dodge NV4500 1993-1999 A short, square stub sticks up
Dodge NV4500 1999-up Threaded stub, 14mm x 1.5 pitch threads
GM NV4500 (All) Threaded stub, 12mm x 2.0 pitch threads
NV4500 Transmission Exploded View
hope this helps! :tu:

blazier18 12-14-2010 02:31 AM

wats already done to ur afc/pump. a set of 181 dv's will help being its a 94

navalseabee 12-15-2010 12:31 AM

FREE: pull out your ten plate cut it to a zero. follow the afc modding thread.adjust timing
note: ( some people dont like the zero for the street, IMO its fine i like it)

CHEAP:governer spring kit, delivery valves, do a bhaf (unless your already have a free flowing intake),

on another note, you do have guages correct?

thanks for info. no, no guages yet, hopefully christmas money wil lalow me to buy em ha planning on boost and egt. how do i mod the fuel plate to be the same as a 0? will it hurt my mileage? power gains?

95.12v.Cummins 12-15-2010 05:54 PM

make sure you get gauges!
check this out for profiles of plates, from what i know milage will vary depending if your foots in it or not.

and for directions and ideas on modifying the fuel plate...

SmokeyAndTheBandit 12-15-2010 07:00 PM

sweet thanks bud. so i can just hack it off even with the top of the plate? nothin will get messed up?

and does anyone kno of lowering kits for 2500's?

95.12v.Cummins 12-15-2010 09:53 PM

you can. though i have read a few place on here that say that the 100 fuel plate is better... they governer arm that starts at the bottom of the plate and runs up the plate. with the 0 plate you get full fuel all the time so while you have no boost your esensally dumping excesive amounts of fuel with not enought air/boost to use all the fuel. with the 100 plate its the fuel is lessened when there is no boost. so with enough fuel and air your egts will be lower than they would be with a 0 plate.

im not familar with lowering kits, but try google. good luck!
just make sure you have gauges and know the limits.
this is one of my favorite sites.

ha well im probably less than an hour from ya here in WNC. the truck is only 2wd, so yea. plus i've always wanted a lowered diesel cuz ya dont seem em anywhere. no blocks pretty sure, can check it out in the mornin. wanna lower it pretty far, around 3/5 or 4/6. it'll get 20in kmc's and around the same heighth tire, give or take half an inch and they'll be A/T's with a posi in the rear. so i'll be able to pretty much still go where i need to go.

SmokeyAndTheBandit 12-15-2010 10:39 PM

ha no cuttin here. cuttin essentially increases ur spring rate makin it way stiffer and bouncier. thanks for the info on top gun bud

another dumb question, i don't see a wastegate on my truck... is it supposed to be mounted on the turbo or is it remote mounted or somethin like that? all i see is the oil line to the turbo...? :argh:

blazier18 12-16-2010 11:30 PM

i think u control that on ur afc on the back! ill look it up real quick and give u a better answer

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

on my turbo its up under hard to see kinda but on my friends 95 he done somethin to a line that ran from the back of his afc but i thank thats where u block it off completely

SmokeyAndTheBandit 12-16-2010 11:43 PM

blazier18 12-17-2010 12:43 AM

SmokeyAndTheBandit 12-17-2010 12:49 AM

blazier18 12-17-2010 01:04 AM
