Default tranny upgrade

ok so i've been reading around on here and got some questions. i bought my truck with a slipping tc, no big deal just deal with it for awhile cause it wasn't slipping that bad. but i am looking to replace it now. i'm thinking a vb rebuild, shift kit, and torque converter, i have a GREAT local transmission shop that i'm going to have go thru it while it's out and maybe go ahead and have him install the shift kit and vb rebuild. this is of course on a budget and i'm only ever gonna be right at or below 400hp. i will be using this truck for play, some daily driving, and hooking up to the gooseneck when needed. will this be enough for a sturdy rebuild? also, when it comes to the tc am i looking for a triple disc? i think i read that they lock up a little harder and noticeable in the seat? if this is true, i dunno if i like that. i appreciate your input.

sorry for making another tranny thread

i've been told with a good rebuild with racing clutches the 47re shafts should hold up to 600 hp and i got a quote of 1600 without a converter, i have a billit single disk but im going for a triple disk it will lock out harder but thats not a bad thing

i ran a single with all the stuff in my sig and it did ok but i used a low end rebuilt one and when i tow heavy it really did a number on it, i just bought a triple and think if your going to want to tow then go with the triple, just know that if you go with the triple your probally going to break the flex plate sometime and if your doing boost lunches your input and intermediate shafts will be the next things to break

cummins, even if i'm not gonna be doing anything crazy hp wise? i was hoping i could get away with a tc upgrade and a good rebuild and it would be good to go.
