Default Billet vs. regular 1 3/8 input shaft

Is it really worth to pony up the extra cash for the billet or will the regular 1 3/8 input be just fine?

I'm putting in a DD clutch and my overall hp goal in the future is somewhere around 500 hp.

What do you guys think?

Thanks for the help in advance

I have been running at over 700 horse power for years on a stock 1 3/8" and I have sled pulled multiple times. Billet is great but not required in my opinion.
