Default Quick Question

I am still new to the diesel world, but I have done some mods to my truck and have some questions about them. I moded my afc like in the sticky, ive got the starwheel pretty much FF and my smoke screw a few threads shy from being flush with the nut. I also put in a #8 fuel plate, but the truck doesnt seem to be getting the power its says it should be getting, what should I do timing? well I probly shouldnt have the fuel plate in at all I got a stock auto tranny but shouldnt there be some difference in power here? the only diference she smokes a little now when I first get on it. What could be wrong? and my mpg seems to be way down. any insight would be very appreciated

Is there any blowby or oil consumption?

Mayber there is too much powe and its smoking the transmission. Does the motor seem to wanna go but the truck doesnt go anywhere?

Theres no blow by from what I can tell, its not burning oil cause theres only white smoke when I rev it all the way in park or neutral, otherwise theres a small black cloud when I first get on it everytime when in drive than it clears up. It seems like the motor wants to go but its not as fast as I want it to be, im probly destroying the tranny so im gunna take the #8 plate out and put my stock back in until I get a decent TC and VB
