Default afc housing and pump

i have screwed my starwheel all the way in, smoke screw flush with the locknut, barrel cut 1/8th inch, foot not touched. running a custom 6 plate afc housing slid all the way up. washers swapped out too. is there any thing else to do for any more power with the afc?? on the pump part is that for pro's to mess with or is there any thing simple to make power in there. on advancin the timin does that add hp or wat?

i think you would really like the effects of the gov. spring kit. i would do that next in terms of the pump

Gov and DVs. You really shouldnt mess with the barrels unless the pump is on a stand for calibration.

what he did with the barrels is perfectly acceptable and not crazy. Bumping timing will help with mileage, cold-starts, idle quality etc. It is VERY worth it. Also I'd get a 4kgsk.

I was talking about the plungers & barrels in the pump NOT the barrel in the AFC.

I've heard both ways. After my timing was bumped to 16.5* cold starts were still a piece of cake. I didn't even have to cycle the grids if I didn't want to and it would still start up easy (although I always use grids on cold starts)

my idle is a touch to high but i like it like that when i run my ac and in gear at a stop so cold start is easy. so timing, 4gsk, and the barrels in my pump have never been touched. is adjusting the barrels adding power, smoke, heat? wat timing should i go with. its a 98 so wats my stock dv's

IIRC stock should be 181s.
DONT touch the barrels unless it on a calibration stand! if you dont guess just right, the pump will be supplying different amounts of fuel to each cylinder= BAD.
