How high can one rev a 6BT with 60lbs valvesprings ???

Default How high can one rev a 6BT with 60lbs valvesprings ???

I am trying to decide on wich GSK to get ??? 4k GSK or what ???

How hard can i rev it with stock bottom and only 60lbs valvesprings ???

i have hit mid 4s. thats only a guess because my stock tach goes to 4 k i got a moded 5k spring

with 60# valve springs?? i thought to be safe over 4k u had to have 110's? but i could be wrong.

sled pullers around here change springs every couple years. im goin change mine this winter. i will put another set of 60 lb in.

stock retainers and keepers?

IMO I would not go over 3500 rpm with the 60# springs and stock keepers and retainers.

ill agree with dave on this one. i had 60 s on mine with 5k gsk and it would float the valves and kick the pushrods out. it almost pulled the keepers through the retainers on most them too. im very lucky its actually good the pushrods came out before the keepers pulled through.i would not waste my money on 60 lb springs again. they arent much better than stock. i was told they put 90 s on the new 6.7 with engine brakes. i got some of the 165 s from hamilton with billet keeper and retainers and havent had a problem since.

I think thats for 24v's not a 12v
