Default O Ring and Head Studs

at what point in building my truck are head studs necessary? and when should i get the head o ringed?

head studs should be right now and orings not needede unless you wanna spit out 70 psi

Whats the best price on head studs, could I get a set of head studs for my 98 12v for under $250?

probably not, a new set of 12mm arp studs usually goes for around 430 give or take, get a quote: https://www.dieselbombers.com/price-...request-price/

now having the 4k springss, do i need head studs with the higher rpm or am i still safe?

I would do studs anyways just to keep the head gasket in there. If you blow the haed gasket you need to have the head and prolly the block decked to keep from blowing headgaskets repeatedly and it helps in saving time and money in the long run. JMO though

Its all about cylinder pressure. Timing and boost pressure are what raise it.

i believe the stock ones are good til 45-48 psi of boost, but if you raise the timing it puts even more strain on them

IMO studs arent needed.... you can do a head just deck it and get good bolts and you can run a lot.... if you plan on huge drive pressures (IE nitrous) yeah get studs
