Default 3000 worth of upgrades

OK so I asked last night if it was possible to get 450 to 500 hp out of my truck with a 2000 budget. But I should ask this becuase its better to ask this way.

What kind of upgrades can i do to my truck with a 3000 dollar budget. Any suggestions on what you would do if you were in my position?

Thanks
Lucas

If you're really shooting for 450-500hp, then that first $3000 will be needed in you transmission and driveline, whether you go manual or auto. 400hp is the threshold where you start needing billet shafts, flex-plates, studs and etc. My sig is a standard receipe for a 450hp truck, it cost 7-8k for the big parts and another couple thousand to fill-in the little odds and ends. Makes a nice street truck though. I could bump it up maybe another 100hp with a different turbo and injectors, for a just a little more money. It wouldn't be as nice on the street though.

For $3000, I'd shoot for 350hp. And whatever you do, get gauges first!!!
