Turbo Performance Exhaust Manifold Blanket

Turbo Performance Exhaust Manifold Blanket
I am starting a thread to show the install of the Turbo Performance exhaust blanket that I won in the give away on August 1st.
It has shown up at the house, and I am thrilled to get this product. I did a long thread about under-hood temps with the Dodge and 12V Cummins on another Cummins forum, so I have been having some issues regarding temps that I'm expecting the blanket to help solve.
Levi, from Turbo Performance, was great at communicating the process and thanks to his efforts! I was even given the option of preferred color: silver (which I chose), black, or tan.
Pics to follow in the days ahead. I want to have a new set of turbo to manifold gaskets on hand before I tackle the project just in case the ones in there right now come out in pieces.
Initial assessment of the manifold blanket is, "WOW!" It is thick, and multi-layered, and looks as if it could cool the engines of the space shuttle. Installation is straight-forward, just pull the turbo a bit and slide the blanket into place, fastening with stainless steel zip ties, which disappear out of sight.
I'm looking forward to comparing the under-hood temps and speed of turbo spool-up before and after.

I haven't had time to get under the hood... I'm remodeling a bathroom that is now starting to get to be an overdue project (by a month!) and it has been uber hot outside this summer.
I've picked up new gaskets and turbo studs and nuts, just in case, and I may tackle the job over the weekend if the weather cooperates. I have a nice garage, but right now it is full of my Ranger truggy build, so I get to work outside on the Cummins.
Soon, I hope!

I installed mine, no camera, but fitment is nice and really helps keep the underhood temps down, I run the AEM intake so it's a metal tube, and it used to be to hot to touch after a hard run, now it doesn't seem to matter how hard i run it i can touch the intake, don't ask me why i touch the intake, but it's a good test to prove that it's working in my opinion
