Default no wastegate on a HX35

When i bought my truck the guy had removed the wastegate. I know about over spooling and i just keep an eye on the gauges. Is this bad not to have a wastegate on a stock turbo? Getting a new turbo soon but should i be concerned about this? thanks

i wouldnt worry plus you are sure that no exhaust is escaping due to a weak spring in the actuator
