Default Gauges!?!?

Alright so I've just gotten the kdp tabbed and the next order of business before more power is getting gauges....so.....
of course just like everyone else I'm eyeing glowshifts because they are soooo darn cheap (210) and I ve heard good, ok and bad things about them. I'm only 17 and dont really have the cash to shell out for the really nice ones (I know this is heard a ton) Anyway essentially I guess I am asking for some feedback and for someone to convince me to be opposed to gs since I've never really heard anything too concrete against them. Also what other gauges are better and for what prices? I have searched on this and just did not find satisfactory results but in my searching I did find that "luke" most certainly doesnt like gs gauges so my question is why is that and what can I replace them with (I believe you are a retailer....what can you do?)
I am looking at 60 psi boost 1500 pyro and 30 psi fuel pressure (ive got a stick)
Thank you for your time,
Justin

i got my 3 gauges for under like 300 bucks (mechanical fuel pressure) with a gauge pod. theyre all autmeter ultra lites. you get what you pay for and its cheaper to buy one set that last than to keep messing wtih cheap faulty gauges. go with automete ror isspro theyv been around paid there dues and theyre till in business for a reason.

like you said youve heard good ok and bad about glowshift. but i only hear nothin but good about isspro and autometer. what does that tell you about the products?

i would say no to gloshift gauges due to the wiring too.... they straight up suck.... i have Isspro's in my truck and i love em

if you can spend the money do it once and then you dont have to worry about bad gauges... from what i saw they arent accurate.... i had one glowshit gauge that was off 200*.... thats huge and i found that out cause i had both pyros hooked up.... i will never own a glowshit gauge

spend the cash if you can

You already know that you'll find people in both camps -- yes and no -- to glowshift.

I was in the same boat as far as money goes, though I'm certainly not 17 and working for peanuts. I just don't have a lot to invest in the truck like some guys.

I found some Bully Dog gauges on eBay (they are clearancing out their old models) for way cheap (less than glowshift) and they work well. They are obviously made for Bully Dog by some other manufacturer.

Bully Dog Pyrometer EGT Exhaust Temp Chrome Gauge 30161: eBay Motors (item 330449837469 end time Jul-15-10 15:39:46 PDT)

Watch that seller. He is the one that has the stuff.

Justin, I would go with Isspro EV series guages. They are cheap, reliable, and match the oem guages very well. Have had mine for 7 years and theyve never missed a beat. I see you have a stick so you really only need a Pryometer and a boost guage. Pyros are around $130 and a boost guage is around $40. You can even bypass the full a-pillar and get an Autometer (or glowshift) 2 guage pod, which will save you some $$. Check out out price quote area.

Guages arent the place you want to cheap out. Isspro has good customer service as well - Ive heard some not so good things about that other company.

Heres what they look like if you havent seen them:

Check out the Isspro EV2 gauges... They are the updated versions of the EV line...

Let me know if you have any questions about Isspro gauges or gauges all together. I test for Isspro, and have 17 in the cab, with about 15-20 more in the back seat!

We sale lots of Isspro Guages with no issues. I like the LED Lighting on the EV2 Series.

wow you were right hightech redneck those did go fast....and they are gone now
And yes that is very true that I probably dont need the fuel psi at the moment with the ppump and that should leave room to buy isspros.....since that seems to be the holy grail of gauges
Also yes being 17 you do get stepped on in the workforce which is why I got away from the more corporate, formal jobs and started a custom haying business with my dad and it pays really well (for a kid my age), I like doing it and being my own boss is really nice but I dont want to put a bunch of money in one spot.....kinda spread the love if you know what I mean (lookin at buying a tractor too) so anyway thanks for all of the advice. I think when I asked this question I kind of knew what the conclusion would be.
It looks like Ill just step up to the plate and get gauges I wont regret
so now the question is....where do I go to get isspro's accompanied by the best price and service in the industry? And I guess it is fine to buy the two pod pillar from gs?
Thank you all,
Justin

Thanks again
Justin
