i have heard you guys talk about it alot but never heard of it until i got on here, can anyone point in the direction of a post about it or care to share what it is?

im pretty sure your refering to afc mods? where you grind the barrel down?
could be wrong tho

barrel mod.... take a 55 gal barrel... cut it in half... weld some legs on in and dump in charcloal or ur likeing... the barrel mod!!! i just messin around... i have heard of it but not sure of exact details.... kind of was wondering what is was too

Look at the AFC Tuning sticky... it tells you how to grind down the barrel and repack the washers.

he is talking about the barrels in the injection pump i do believe? not the barrel in the afc

idk i did the afc housing mods, just curious as to if the barrel mod was the samething or something dif? can you mod the barrels in the pump without pumpstanding it at a shop?

no the pump would have to be pulled and gone through by a PRO... it is not needed for a dd.

You can turn the barrels your self but it will need to be benched afterward. As for a daily driver lots of things aren't needed but we all do them anyway.

I would not turn the barrels, leave that to the pump shops.

If you were talking about grinding the barrel in the AFC you can do that, take .090 off the end.

ya i already did all the afc mods, but i only took off maybe 1/4 tho, and i flipped the washers but i was thinkin about replacing the cupped washer with a flat one and grinding more off the foot??
