How long has it been since you changed your filter?

Why would you have a needle valve in a fuel pressure gauge on an AirDog?.

With an electric fuel system a needle valve is not needed and could be the cause of your gauge jumping around. It may not be a problem with the pump at all just with how you have the gauge installed. You say you just changed a filter and if the gauge line with the needle valve assembly ends up with air in it your turning the pump on could cause it to act like your describing.

I may be out to lunch but a simple filter change to me and there is pressure loss says somethinge else is up.I have seen electric pumps go bad but not aftewr a filter changemunless they were showing signs before the swap.
