Ahhh you need that line hooked into a boost source for the injection pump/afc housing to work properly! I would start then and report back after that...

whaaaa? You serious?? The truck was pulling like a BEAST since I installed the turbo until my way putting home from work today. My buddy who's awesome with 12v's (whos phone died mid-convo) told me to just plug that up?? I'm talking about the boost line that goes underneath the turbo, then up and across (or thru?) the motor to the afc..)

Yes that line needs to see a boost referance. It runs along the firewall.

No this line def. cuts thru or over the motor and is a hard metal line...
But why would my truck last all these days of fun-having, then all of a sudden TODAY have an issue because it was plugged and not recieving boost?

Not sayin it gonna solve it but it'll def help! But havnt u been messin with the afc fuel plate and starwheel for awhile now? Could be a bad tune job all the way around? I'd fix the afc line and screws and try to set it back to stock and see what happens from there. That's what I would do

I already re-mounted the afc. But no the truck was running like a hoss because my buddy semi-tuned the afc, I was just bitching because mileage was NOWHERE near what I was expecting with it. So I came to the conclusion it needed some more tuning. But this issue with the turbo occured before I even touched the starwheel afc and everything else today. Where should I tap the afc boost line into? I was told capping it was my best bet.

But the turbo isn't boosting, lots of black smoke and sputtering about 2k-2100rpms. It's not boosting at all and I think i toasted another one.

Do you still have the factory fitting from your other turbo? Get a t fitting that it will thread into and put it inline of your wastegate hose. If the turbo spins it will boost unless the fins are toast or the shaft let loose but it would be makin a bunch of noise like last time.

Ya I have the fitting. I'll look into tapping the afc into the boost line. I thought it would be making noise and stuff too if its fried but its exhibiting the same symptoms as last time minus the noise. Well and I can hear the turbo spool now. I'm gonna pull the intake and check the manifold and stuff tomorrow and see what's up. Thanks a lot for the input so far
