Default 4K GSK and stock Auto tranny.

Okay, so I have a stock auto tranny, tommorow I will be taking my Fuel plate out and installing my 4k GSK and 60# Valvesprings.

Will my TC take this?

Sorry couldn't help myself.

Anyway on to the real question.

I'm planning on getting a 4k GSK and HD valve springs.

Will these mods hurt my tranny? I know the valvesprings won't obviously but what about the extra RPMS?

My guess would be no as most of the torque will be dropping off above 2600 rpms anyway.

But I'm not sure so I thought I would ask the guys with experience!

the 4 k's do provide you with more low end fuel so the tc isn't going to like it much, especially if you are towin or haulin. do u have gauges? i know with my truck over 2500 rpms she gets hot in a hurry. fill out your signature so guys know what ya got done.

just a warning, once you start bombin this truck, your never gonna stop

Well thats not what I wanted to hear. I have a VB and Gauges on the way for my birthday hopefully!

Can anybody point me in the direction of a good TC lockup switch write up?

Thanks!

You also have no plate though...

But yeah I would like the responsiveness of the 4k, the faster shifts and what not. I guess I can see if I can pedal it like you!

I'm just not sure!
