Probably because they are a dime a dozen to aquire?

How are marine 370's as far as mileage and egt's? I've heard the 370's bring down mileage, smoke a lot, and raise egts pretty high

370's smoke can be managed as well as the egts and they are not a dime a dozen either.

If you install them correctly and do not get to wild with the timing they will provide a nice kick in the pants to your truck.

Many of the big name shops building performance injectors for 12v's use the marine 370 as a base.

I'm not knocking them, hell I'm considering buying them for my own truck. But how would you manage them, as you put it?

Hey now, in a world where an 85_305 knows nothing, having a 94 12valve that knows MOST everything means the difference between a running '97 cummins or a dead '97 cummins

The thing with 370s is to keep them as far into the combustion chamber as possible, if you have 145* pistons.
