Any range in mileage and any number for hp/tq increases? I dont want to endeavour upon this if it isn't really worth it

You are not looking for much of a performance gain (at least I didnt see it when I did my timing). But the truck ran much smoother. Your not understanding something here - the timing bump isnt really for a performance modification. The timing from the factory tends to slip because they didnt torque the nut on the pump shaft sufficiently. Combine the bump in the timing with some minor modifications such as a fuel plate, GSK, 4" exhaust, and free flowing air filter - and youll be happy.

But $3k??? - learn how to do it yourself. Thats a lot of money. Most people say if you can change your oil you can fix the KDP. Now, timing is a little more involved and you can screw it up bad if you dont know what your doing. Best thing is to try to find someone knowledgable around you thats willing to help you or do it for a reasonable amount of money. Hell for $3k the CEO of Cummins should be doing it.

you can have the motor pulled re built and put back in for $3000!:scare2:

ill fly up to buffalo and do it for you for 3 grand :argh: how can people run a buissness and continue to run it charging that much. even a 1000 is way over priced.

the local shop here is going to advance my time to 15 for $80 the highest was 300 but thats not including the kdp

I did my timing myself and ya it just cost me the kit that's ridiculous to pay that much for that.

you dont need to pull the whole front end apart

how do you figure that its not a " Performance modification"?

Mines set at 16.5 and I noticed very little performance change when mine was done.
