Waste Gate

my truck does not have a wastegate on it, it goes straight to the intake side of my turbo switching to a wategate would help me or not and if i do how do i plug up the intake side where the wastegate is right now

if your talking about the hose, thats how the cummins wastegates work. more boost pushes on the spring and makes it open.
