i have a 100plate, bhaf, 4in mbrp turbo back, star cranked and a boost elbow... when i get on it i am only getting 18lbs of boost. i check for leaks cant find any. what else would cause this?

 

check the air line to the afc and make sure that its moving

 

Well.. with my 94 I was only hitting.. around 30 psi when I got on it.. with a 0 plate, boost elbow, injectors from a 97 truck and 181 DV's.. The wh1c won't give _that_ much boost will it? I'm not an expert though.

 

most I ever saw out of mine was 36psi.

 

when i lock the tc and floor it the boost gauge shoots up to 16-18psi and stops there like the wastegate is opening.

 

Your waste gate could be bad mabe wire it shut and see what that does. Just a thought.

 

Check and recheck all connections. It's been awhile since I've drove my truck but it think I was making like 34ish. That's with the h1c. My hx I was pushing 48lbs.

yea. all connections were good. i blocked the line that goes to the afc now she does 26 psi. wg must be bad thanks guys

 

Could be waste gate, but maybe the diaphram inside the afc has a hole in it, might want to check that as well just to be sure. Most likely waste gate though, if you have a boost elbow you can just eliminate the wastegate for the most part.
