Default what clutch set up to get

heres what im gonna end up with as far as power goes in the next few weeks! im thinkin just under 450rwhp or somwhere there about.

4gsk
sdx 5x12 injectors
#100 plate FF
62/68/13 turbo
15.5* timing.

my trans is a nv4500 with the 1 1/4 input shaft. Im lookin for input on what clutch set up to get. I want to get one that is smooth engagment, not a lot of pedel pressure and quiet! I need it to hold up to the power im gonna be makin. i tow a little bit, nothin over 12 or 13k, and drive it eevry day through traffic. I want what ever will last me the longest and hold the longest with out being hard or pain in the butt to shift or drive. Let me know. My first choice is a SBC OFE, says its rated for 450hp/1000lbs, but it is high dollar and dont know if it is smooth or anything like that, my other option is a valair, 13" rated for the same. dont know wich would be better or if there are better choises out there? Thanks Guys

The sbc or valair is going to be your best bet. If i were you i would save up for a light dual disk, they are smooth, quiet now, and will last you forever. My opinoin though. Let us know if we can help you.

I have one of Haisley Machine's Street/Drag double disc's in my truck. It is one of the smoothest and easiest engaging clutches I have ever driven. You will need to upgrade your input shaft to run almost any of the double disc's.SBC is also a very good choice and Peter has the clutch to fit your desires, needs and budget.

A light double is my vote. They are a little higher in price with the input clutch and hydros but they are worth it in every way. Singles just can't take any abuse and to get a single to where it will hold a decent amount of power they are grabby and can be a pain to drive.

X3 on the double disc, go ahead and get a good one and you wont have to worry about it again. We recommend SouthBend.

and for the noise the new SB DD clutches are silent...... they changed them up and my buddy has one on his truck and it doesnt make the typical "oh that truck has a double disk clutch" sound...... i love it.....

DD if you have the money. if not i have the 450hp SB. It was really tight when I first got it in but its broken in now, just a little heavier than stock w/ stock hydraulics.
