C65 Cummins conversion
I am thinking about setting a 12V into a 1977 Chevy C65. everything looks like it will work well except I don't know if the Transmission will work and if so where to get a adapter?
Anyone with a good parts guy would be great.

Yeah, I wouldn't think it would hold up too long. If I was just running around empty it would last but this thing runs heavy, thats the reason for the diesel.
I kinda wanted to make this painless, and cheap.

Swap along with painless and cheap do NOT go in the same sentence, unless the sentence is Swaps are NOT painless and NOT cheap. Unless you can find a truck in the junkyard with a SAE adapter and trans. for cheap, or sell whatever trans or other parts you have now to cover the cost.
I want to see if my current trans will work. If not then I will have to go get the transmission from the bus also.
I just turn wrenches just for a hobby but this truck would be alot more efficent with a 12v than a 427 gasser.
This may be way over my head, we will see.
