There are many differences between the different models of P7100. Any California rated P7100 in '96-98 no matter the hp rating is a 180hp model. You can get the last 3 digits of the Bosch part # on the driver's side of the injection pump to be sure.

also is there any gains for doing an EGR delete ...i heard it helps from some one ... but idk if it will ... cuz if so i can just put a gasket and plate on the exst manifold and take it off and put it back on when it comes time to smog when they decide to

take it off, at least your not trying to burn fuel you all ready burned. your truck should run cooler and your intake plenum should stay soot free
