Default injector question

I have a 98 12v and want to put bigger injectors in it i have heard alot of stuff about injectors and injector nozzles. I was thinking of around 40 to 80 horse injectors or nozzles. Is it better to put in injectors or nozzles and any recomended brands to use. I dont care so much about fuel milage but it is a concern. thanks again

Use Injectors not nozzles, that way all you have to do is swap the injectors. Talk to any of the site Sponsors, They can steer you in the right direction. I have fireball injectors from Lukes with Diesel Dawgs and like em. They are just 40's but will be changed out for 150's shortly.

Technically what we have are nozzles not injectors but I can't stand when someone says that, don't ask me why. What transmission do you have? Is it upgraded in anyway?

I blew out my old transmition and had a new one built with a bigger converter and some better clutches and they drilled the vaulve body overdrive hole out.

Problem with just ordering nozzles and preassembled injectors is that you really need to have the injectors assembled and shimmed by a professional for best results. Nozzles by themselves are cheaper usually than complete injector assemblies, but the risk is you assemble them yourself and they are not popping off correctly, and you don't see them to their full potential.

By the whole injector, unless you can have a pump shop put the nozzels in and check them for you for a reasonable price.
