I don't think 19 is high enough I'm running 19 with my setup.

Well when the elbow blows we'll put a Banks on. The pistons are stock. New bearings in the bottom end. The injectors are the stock injectors. Extrude honed to 100% over and shimmed to 3900psi. We used the copper washers.

I would go 24-26 at the pump

and use the thin washers for your injectors

My opinion is the CFM intake "blows" at all boost numbers. No noticeable gain after installing. I've had 48psi on mine with no trouble

At that timing how hard would it be to start? It's still a DD and needs to start easily. Also is there going to be an issue with running the thick washers? and if there is where can we get the thin washers fast? Thanks.

With these mods what do you guys think the hp would be around?

Hard starting depends on where you live LOL
How cold does it get at the coldest you'll be using it?
In warmer weather at 19* mine starts better than stock.

mine starts fine a 24* at the pump. I have no block heater or intake heater anymore, and it will start when its 35* outside ( no starting fluid needed). If you live where it gets cold, keep your intake heater and block heater and it will start fine.

the thin washers will help keep you in the bowl when running higher timing.

here is where I bought mine ( use the thinnest washer in the kit)
B,C Series 5.9L Injector Installation Kit (6))

Well in Northern IL it can get down below zero. I think I may have installed the thin washers already. They looked thinner than ones I've seen before. Well we'll give 24 a shot and see how it goes. What do you guys think we'll be sitting at for hp? We are hoping for at least 600 rwhp. I forgot to add the head was also ported and valves changed to 45* angles.

Also is fuel economy sacrificed by running that much timing?

just a thing about the head and fire rings..... you will need to HOT retourque it several times to make sure your head gasget seals properly..... we fire ringed a head for a guys 94 and he blew the head gasget cause he didn't hot retourque the head...... i would do it more then once...... and i think i would run around 20-24* advance. i don't think you will have a problem starting your truck at that.......good luck dude keep us posted on how your making out with it

Your biggest issue is going to be finding the right setting where you can still drive it. At the pulls, you are going to want to be more up around 28-30* so when she's singing at 4k it makes good power, but on the street you'll never light that turbo. For a good combo I think 22-24 will be a great place to start at and see what you think.

You should have the .5mm washers in there. If not, swap them in.
