Default blown head gasket and stretched head bolts

just got my pickup all together today and went to take it for a drive and broke it.
stretched bolts and blew the head gasket. hopefully i can get her back together soon but money is tight right now.

what setup do you guys recommend for studs and where have you found the best deal?

ARP is suppose to be a good choice. What mods are you running BTW??

ARP head studs all the way! I think I know a place you can get them for a good price . . . . . .

i have a 1997, 5 speed. it has a 0 plate, afc tuned, intake, exhaust, methanol injection, hx35/40 hybrid, soon to have 50hp injectors

If you go with ARP you will need to have the rockers milled. If ou go with A1 you will need to have the webbing on the valve covers ground out. I bought my ARPs from dieselpap. Best price I could find and a great guy to deal with. 877-354-7008

at what boost and timing do the head studs start to stretch? i thoght if you don't overboost and have too much increased cylinder pressure you are o.k. don't want to have the same problem!!!!!!

wouldnt go over 16* or 40psi. but meth doesnt help stock head bolts either.

i was pulling about 55psi. with stock timing. do you think i will be ok with the $400 arp head studs or do i need the $800 ones?
