To make 500hp your going to need all the things Redneck recommended plus Injectors, Turbo, Intake, plus a few other things.

the stock 175 pump that I tweeked
II's dragon flows
air dogg 150
big stick cam
ported and oringed head
arp studs
intake
4" exhaust
sbc 3850 dual disk
s465 turbo

500 rwhp is simple here is how I would do it

remove your fuel plate
add 181dv's
add 2095 mack rack plug
4k gov springs
64/71/14 turbo
good set of injectors like a 5x12 should be fine
head studs
17-18* of timing
and make sure your trans will hold the power

yes just take it out and tune your afc. the 2095 rack plug is the 30 mm plug that is right behind the timing cover. It allowes an extra 2mm of rack travel which = more fuel
