any one tackled the task of putin in a 6spd or hell a 10spd?

i was thinking about throwing a eaton super 10 in my truck but i highly doubt it would fit.

I know a guy that has a ve pumped cummins and a 15 speed roadranger in a 86 Crew Cab Chevy. Hows that?

Yes, you can put in a 6 speed. If considering it, try to find a 2001 or 2002 6 speed as they have the larger input shaft. Also something to consider is the New venture was bought out and 6 speed parts are scarce.

yeah me too. Bad thing is, it is not an overdrive unit. He has 4.10 gears and 37" tires. Max Speed is about 55

6 gears is too many for me....I couldnt imagine running through 10.

if i was going to swap a straight stick into a dodge truck it would be a 4500 with a big input and 5th gear fixed i know its off topic but thats just me
