The stock turbo wastegate boost came from the AFC housing on my 96 5pseed.

well; thanks for the correction guys. if i'm proven wrong i'm more than willing to back down and erase what i know and re-write it with the correct information; it isnt a big deal for me to do. opposed to just being told that i'm wrong and then mocking me to be a fuel guru just doesn't do the same thing as what xzaq103 did to correct "a myth" so; for that i thank you for teaching me something instead of talking to me like i'm an idiot.

also; as for the afc and wastegate boost supply. sorry for any mis information there too. i'm just going by what i know on our early 98, the wastegate supply comes right off the compressor housing and runs to the actuator. i know there is always exceptions so i need to quit talking as if every application is the same.

Actually I may have been misinformed, but the Alex down at Hamilton Diesel in Leander, Tx told me it's been dyno proven that there is a 50 hp difference between running a #0 plate full forward and running no plate at all. As for the run-away diesel 'myth', I witnessed this first-hand last friday night at the truck and tractor pulls in Deleon, Tx. After the truck nearly burned to the ground they determined the pin in the afc housing had traveled too far forward and gotten stuck. Not trying to say anybody's wrong here, just puttin in my 2 cents...
