I just pickup up a 97 12V and am planning some mods for it. Where do yo know these will put me.
laser cut DV's
DDP4's
4K GSK
I'm think right around 18-20* timing
turbo/s ? for right now
I know there are little pumps mods out there
I know about guages and trannys
Anything I'm missing or should add to the list
I should mention this is a 180 pump

i have a milder setup than that and i'm making 358/727 through a heavy automatic.... i know i should be seeing 400/800 but i haven't had time to tune it any lately.... so with the right turbo/s you should see 450-600/800-up depending on how deep your wallet is....... oh ya my timing is at stock 14.5* too

Benjamin, isn't that turbo a little big for you HP. How does it spool?

it spools ~ 250-300 rpm later than my HX35 did..... pulls like a **** @ 52psi..... the reason the numbers are so low is a have my fuel plate on the very conservative side as i didn't want to heat things up too quick (you know new turbo and all)..... it spools REAL quick with the .063 nitrous jet and pulls way hard.... the .063 is suspose to be in theory a 150-175 depending on bottle pressure and such.... i should have gotten at least the 64/12 or a 62/12 but i have some things in mind for later down the road so i went ahead and went big...... i'm like any red blooded American..... i'd rather have something too big than not big enough.....

EDIT : also not many people take into consiteration the extra rotational mass i have..... 2 extra wheels, Billet SFI ATS Flexplate, tripple disc converter...... all that is WAY heavier than the stock stuff...... that's where some of my HP went too....

I made 410/940 #2 on a maxed out stock 160 pump that was tuned to near perfection with a custom plate, and 191's on top of edm 370's, a BHTB3/26 and a stock HX35/12 with drastic turbine modifications, 18* of timing and a thick marine gasket under studs. Adding 50/50 meth at 220 psi through two 625 jets on at 30 psi of boost netted me 457/1033.

All this on a Mustang Dynojet and in corrected numbers. I know there was quite a bit more power available, but the small secondary was hindering the operation. I have since upgraded the secondary to a modified S3A, and put on another pump. I can't wait to dyno again.

Its my thought with all the trucks I have seen dyno that lazer cut DV"s are not needed for daily street driving.Unless you have a pump man do your pump I suggest the use of the 191's on the street as they will provide the fuel you need to light the fire inside.

I would make sure since your just getting this truck that you have gone over the trucks fuel system thoroughly, checking for leaks and making sure the lift pump is making the proper pressure. Also remove the fuel heater plug and see if its wet,if so it will need rebuilt or replaced as it will suck air there.

Turbo/s are a choice you need to make after extensive research because this is a decision you can not make on a whim.First decide what your main purpose is for the truck then you can decide whats the best for your application. There are lots of choices and everyone has their favorites, you need to decide this one on your own.

AS for the power part of your question...
Again, with as many as I have seen dyno at my shows, with combos like you want I would say somewhere between 350-400hp and 650-800 torque. That is also depending on tranny work and convertor choice.Good luck and hope this helped.....Andy

Sorry. I should have mentioned the sluch box is coming out and I'm putting a 4500 in. One AT in the family is enough.
