update...

I agree. Each truck is different.

I got to drive mine for about 45min on the hwy. I got it to run to about 3200 and had 1/4 left to go. It did not have any problems reving this time.

I was getting parts for the engine and came back out to go home and it starts hard now I have to give it fuel to get it started and once it is started it will idle at 800 rpm.

The saga continues ..............................

i have had to just barely tap the peddle to get mine to start. about every 12v i have drove was like this so kinda consider it normal.

Just keep messing with it i guess, i noticed in your pictures that there is 2 shims less than what i pulled out of mine...try seeing if you can pull some more out, i left some in there the first time around. but who knows like i said all pumps are different, when i did my budies kit he had big fat shims, i don't really understand why these pumps are all diffrent, but could see why, just factory diffrences in tolrances? i don't know, but i would really like to talk to a pump specialist about this. if i had all day and a dyno i would play with it more and see if i can tune it better, but it seems to be acting fine now. let us know how your soga ends or continues in that matter, im interested in hearing:pca1:

Well about the pumps. They put these in to make the pumps into spec by adding the spacers if I am correct. It is like balancing a tire impo. So by taking the shims out you unbalence the pump and add the springs....Anyhow I could be wrong.

From what I found out about the kit. I did get the springs measured and installed collectly finally. Basically you have the bottom spring retainer, top spring retainer, springs, and the nut

Put them in the way you took them off or about 3 clicks and you are good so to speak.

Also they do pull harder. I would say on my setup it was 4% up to 60 then about 5% up to 100

I think I am getting air in my system but I am going to do some testing....

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I got it figured out.:U:

It was the shut off level being in to far. I took it off to take the plug off the side of the pump to do this. When I put it back on I pushed it to far against the pump and made the shut of bind up. I ran it all day and no problems at all except the normal......

thanks guys for the help.........:c:
