ok, well im new here, and my current ride is a yz125 haha but im getting my dads 96 12v in about a year. so right now it will go to like 2600 in nuetral, and in drive like 2250 or so. so if i got the 3k gsk its only gonna go to like 2600 in drive right? but if i got the 4k its not going to go past 3200 anyway without changing the shift points on the tranny? is this right, it seems from what ive heard that its right.

yes and no, the truck will hit 4k without any tranny work, the reason not to exceed 3200rpm is because you will float vavles without 60lb valve springs. with a 3k kit you should be able to hit2800rpm before defueling starts.

i have noticed installing springs is way more efective in 5speed 215 pumps over the auto 180 pump. i just put a 3gsk in my buddies white 97 5speed and the thing bakes tires into 4th gear and boots on the high way. i was jelous of his truck after the install.

its the governor springs, it lets the truck rev higher...3000 is good 4000 is better in the long run for most people...but once you get above 3200 RPMS you will float your valves...and yes you can put them in your truck...it should really hurt your tranny i just lets the truck fuel longer in the top end
