But be warned if you have an early 94 like me there is no bolt on kit. The early 94's have a smaller stud where it mounts to the frame on the driver's side. To make any of the kits work you have to drill that hole out to accept a larger bolt. the nice thing with going with the solid steel or just replacing the stock bar with a trac bar from the auto store is that they are lifetime warranty and they can be replaced at no charge anytime. Damn. I used to replace my stock bar in the parking lot and bring it in. LOL |
i don't like the idea of drilling out my 3/4 hole
once it's drilled no going back..... i dunno why i would want to... the local auto parts store is "car quest" the next closet is advanced auto. i called them. it was only offer by one supplier. and guy guy on the phone was the manager and said he didn't want to do business with them and they wanted $373. the closest auto zone is an hour away. the good news is it's on the way to my g/f's mothers house. i got there most weekends any way. i'll give 'em a call and see what they say |
nope auto zone can't get it
|
what?
Moog makes a direct replacement for under $200. hold on I will do a little searching |
here ya go buddy
http://www.autozone.com/R,APP1352573...ductDetail.htm I couldnt remeber what year your truck was so I put a 2000 and a 1 ton. you can redo the search under the correct criteria but it should br the same bar for 96 to 2002 |
oh yeah I almost forgot
"DURALAST IS BUilT TO LAST!" |
yeah there's some type weird production date thing
here it is http://www.solidsteel.ca/Tbar%20FAQ....f%20my%20truck thats what the problem is. auto zone could get the after 2/7/94 but mine is a before 2/7/94 rediclious huh? i called VIP auto they want 302 +shipping and handling charges i found a NAPA auto parts. they want 180 it's made by "master ride" i guess it's a division of Dana corp. with a 1 year 100,000 mile warranty. who drive 100,mile in a year?? i dunno and they had one for $257 comes direct from Dana with a lifetime warranty |
