what does it take to put the p7100 on the first gen engine, timing cover, cam or just bolt it on?

Not too easy.... You'll need - P7100 pump, inj. lines, lift lump, fuel supply lines from LP to filter and from filter to IP, gear case, gear case cover, front crank seal, you must remove/replace the camshaft in order to remove/replace the gear case. And there might be more than that
