Default Anatomy of Twins

Can someone tell me, or give a link to explain this type of turbo set up? I like the idea of a quicker spool. what does each turbo do as far as bottom end and top end preformance. I'd be fabing it myself, so pics of a twin setup off a truck would be nice to see if anyone has them. It's probably a dumb question for some and i'm sure it's been discussed here quite a few times but I guess I'm just not smart enough to find them..

I will post up pics later. But I assume you're talking about compound turbos the smaller turbo your secondary spools up the primary turbo the bigger one.

small turbo for low end big turbo for top end but the smaller turbo spools the big one quicker than if the big charge was by itself

allow me to submit my potentially retarted question to add on to this. Given the general concept of compound twins, couldn't you theoretically run trips or quads or even more with the same concept if you had room for all the plumbing?

Actually, on another site, there was a much posted thread with simulation drawings for a set of triples. Two small turbos (possibly) and a big single..

Now that I read the thread, the photos of the model drawings have been deleted.

Lets talk about doing a triple turbo setup

Yes I have had Trips and Tried to setup Quads but that didn't work.

Now they are not as long as you do the setup right.
