Default Governor Spring Kit Question

I know you guys can answer it. I want to get these spring before i get the injectors. what should i get. 3k or 4k. and can someone tell me how hard is it to install them and can u tell me how.

I would go for the 3k myself.....................you should get around 3400 with em

4k is just to much for the Cummins.IMHO

If you look at the at the range on the camshaft there is no reason why you should even think about putting a 4k kit in. plus the more rpms you turn the more of a chance your taking to hurting the engine. most people thing bigger is better. not always true. putting them in not hard at all. I put the 3k in mine. you just have to be careful. make sure you use a magnet. it helps alot. if you pull alot you will love having them in. pulling around 20,000 going up hills and the rpms going to 2200 and start defueling sucks. but good luck on it.

i just went the 4k anyway even though i rarly even see 3k its the same price and i can hit higher RPMs if i ever want to without it defueling

But why go anymore rpms 3000. it just a waste. there no power up there

Well really after 2500 its not pulling that hard. you can tell theres nothing there.

plus when you let people barrow your truck you dont want them turning no more than 3

i have one of those valet switches in my truck anyway that cuts the fuel down to half when anyone drives my truck awsome thing to have for when my girlfreind takes the truck for the day
