alright guys i know you can help me. this is what i have done. cold air take, 4 in exhaust, #5 fuel plate, star wheel is turn in half way. The thing hardly smokes at all. i'm wanting a way to get some smoke out of her and a little more power. I tow trailers allthrough indiana and thats my job when i'm not working on boats. the truck just needs a boost. but i'm limited amount of money bc i have a baby on the way. so i hope one of you guys can help me. thanks

Theres lots of threads here...you might be able to squeeze a little more power with a different fuel plate. Other than that you might have to buy some injectors - which will probably lead to a bigger turbo in a short time.

what year 12ver i had 96 did basically what youve done i added the 3000 gsk and bought injectors from coal train diesel i think shipped they were 375 and wow is all i can say i sold it shortly after but he was in the process of building me a turbo i think he was going to sell me the turbo for 250 maybe 275 good luck

 

I was assuming you already have guages and the required transmission upgrades.

What tranny do you have?

Oh yeah, some 3k or 4k gsk springs will help you out (if you dont already have them).

Do you have the gsk springs?

Delivery valves tend to deliver a lot of fuel and they usually just end up making a lot of heat and smoke. For most guys, delivery valves are one of the last performance mods they do.

 

push the #5 plate full forward(free mod). tune the afc again (every one has a certain amount of turns but imo its best to find out what works for your combination and again its a free mod) did your plate come with a boost elbow? if so install it. if its already on there well how much boost are you getting and what are your egts?

 

have you done a boost elbow on it that helps out a little, also since it is a 95 correct? you can get a decent set of stock used injectors off of a new 5spd 12v which are 215 injectors cheap that will get you some more fuel. 3k gsk couldnt hurt I would stay away from the idea of just shimming your governor springs I had some major issues with that. also you can move the plate around. good luck hope this helped some.
