Along with the gov springs and timing, oversized injection lines and massive DV's also contribute. Some say the monster pump doesnt lope as bad as it did but I can't comment on that one..

Ok...
I am lost here...
WHY would you want to even think of driving a mechanical pump with a "lope" in it on the street?.It has zero performance advantage and usually shows a lack of tuning more than power. The absolute strongest running 12v around as a daily driver is the DTR's John_P's Red Rocket. At over 800hp on fuel alone and over 900 with a small shot of giggle gas I dare you to find one stronger and yet when you stand right next to it the truck is a docile as a stocker until he mashes the loud pedal.

So you can have your lope,I'll take docile, quiet, sneaky and overpowered before lopey idles and no power gains for it anyday........Andy

P.S.-Can someone please expalin what "oversize" valves have to do with idle quality?

Yeah VP44 trucks are easier to get to lope with just some bigger lines and pump adjusts. but you really don't need a lope your start tweaking things and your going to get a motor running wrong and then kaboom. Leaves the lopes to all the Duramax boys they run around with them all the time. But really nothing lurking underneath. Kinda Ricerish to me I think.

Son...
An Old Man once taught me along time ago a saying thats fits for you here....

"Never write a check that your azz will not be able to cash"

Couple things you need to do first to ensure you even get a "chance" to "laph" at me...

First...
Make sure your job provides you with enough overtime to ensure you have enough Benjamins to cover your check with as I know I do.

Second...
Understand that this old man HAS been around the block and raced guys way better than you and knows how to handle those like you who puff out their chests and beat them like Magilla Gorilla who just found a bunch of bananas.See you do not know me and probably do not know or realize that if the cash is right a two day ride is no problem.

So Magilla,in closing, and since your thumping your chest about how bad your "loping" truck is I ask this......

Do you feel you have enough power in your loping truck to drive around my very under-powered stock 12v?...AND.....Do you have enough testicular fortitude in you to do what its going to take to drive around me for the win and the Benji's?......Don't think to long son,I am now scheduling my 5 weeks of vacation and its been awhile since I have been into the Northwest and I have some people I can visit while there.Heck, who knows they may even want to see you get humbled by an old man and his stock truck......Andy
