1Hole... 2Springs... ???
Looking at alot of P7100 photos and I clearly see the 7/8" port where I gain access to the Governor Springs... My GSK has two sets of springs both inners and outers - but with one hole - do they stack in there?
Upper & Lowers... so there stacked correct?
How do I set the Calipers to measure the nut distance once I center it? On the edge of the top thread to the access port?
I think it will all make sense once I get in there...
Any answers would be appreciated.

there are 2 sets, they are mounted on a shaft 180* from each other. you have to bar (turn the engine) over by hand to get to the other set of springs. remember to use the original big spring, and count the clicks taking the little nut off and count them going back on. if you get it tighter then it was your idle will be really low, if it is looser than it was the idle will be high.
hold on and i see if i can dig up some directions for you

Got it done in 2hrs but thats because I had some snags with misc. other stuff. Really easy but I can see that you have to be really careful - I did drop a shim and it landed horizontally across the large springs and my heart stopped. I got the magnet on it post hast...
Now I am going to read up and adjust the diaphram screw and the Gov'r Arm... it is not even striking the fuel plate when I move the throttle by hand - it is under it and misses it completely.
Also found out my failing Fuel Shut Off is because the clamp type split was loose and not turning the shaft when it moved up and down.
How tuff is it to adjust the Gov'r Arm? It seems tight back there... the back is only a few inches from the Fuel Filter. I will give it a go with my mirror. Thank God for lots of cool tools is all I can say. You never know what may come in handy...

Not bad at all. I took the Fuel Shut Off out and ran a PTO cable. Something was wrong... I have twice the power I had with the Cable making sure the fuel shut off is in the FULL ON position... Wow... The #10 and 3k GSK have been in my Garage for over a year. WHAT WAS I THINKING!
Will put in the Amsoil Air Filter tomorrow and remove the resonator and get my DOT inspection done - before I remove the resonator!
I still have some fine tuning - I did the Smoke Screw into the diaphram and may need to adjust my star wheel now a bit.
