You mean where it hooks up to the engine?

This is easy...:
Attachment 57108 Boost Gauge Installation Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel 1991-1998 12 Valve (Intercooled) - the above pic is of a first gen 12V, the procedure is the same for a second gen 12V. 1. Locate and remove the 1/8" NPT pipe plug (see pic) on the driver's side of the intake manifold. 2. Install the fitting and connect the hose making sure that the hose fits snug but does not pinch. Alternately, you can drill and tap the intake manifold. |
I prefer to drill and tap the intake for my hookup point. Boost gauges lat much longer and stay quiet forever.
We have boost bolts that we ship with every gauge package. That is another easy solution to hook up the gauges. Dave |
Interesting....never had any trouble with mine or even heard that before.
Where would a boost bolt go on a 12V? |

Where would a boost bolt go n a 12V? But, I still prefer the air horn for my tap location in all applications. I have taken noisey gauges and they can quiet down from just the move of monitoring point. Dave |
Good stuff Dave - thanks.

hey thanks guys but the wires for all the guages r pissin me off. i shoot weapons not play connect till it works. but i didfind that port on the engine like you said i will tap that and just have an audio store or some one who knows wires to fix this mind game for me.
next step 70 hp injectors and jake brake with trans lock. after that banks power pack or somethin just as good for a hell of alot cheaper but with the split intake manifold like banks manifold for 96 dodge diesels.:argh: |
Hey bud, we sure can step you through the wiring its not very hard.
What brand of guages do you have?, which guages do you have (boost and EGT I assume)...?? |
