Default SHE NEEDS MORE AIR

I have an s400sx 82/87/1.1 turbo. But I still have tons of smoke all threw the power band. I need more air and was hoping someone could advise me on either a set of compounds or twins. Maybe another s400? Maybe a small turbo that will compound well with my s400?

Steerable driver. Not daily driver more Sunday driver maybe try it in a truck pull. Never done one. That's actually down sized from what previous owner had on it he had an s500. He was a younger guy was trying to build a steerable pulling truck. The s400 currently spools around 2400 so from 2400-4k you got lots of pull. But driving threw town/ highway cruising speeds it doesn't really spool. Terrible mileage for a Cummins. 12-13 avg I need to get a new pyro for it cus the one he had in it was dead when I bought the truck. Only had the truck for a couple weeks. Maybe a s300 s500 compound setup? I don't think twin 300s would move enough air for the top end.

You have much to learn. I bet you dont have 650 ponies... loose the 5x20's put some 5x16ish injectors in it. If your dead set on an s4 put a 64/83/.8ish something on it with a t4 foot. Your so far away from a good running street truck its hard to help you here buddy. Way to much fuel and way way to much turbo

Compound an s3 into an s4 if compounds are in your future. More timing = slower spool.

Build update. went down to a 66/81/.9 spool is much nicer but I have a lot of detuning to do fuel side. Just a side note. Why doesn't anyone run like a 81/82/.9 I ask cus I built one with spare parts and took it for a test run before putting on the other turbo. Spool was actually rather quick. Decent power band from what I could tell without even pushing it. Seemed like it has a lot to give.
