12v FASS ?'s
I recently installed the FASS 150/90-1010@45PSI on my 96. I have a fuel pressure gauge in my a-pillar. what my question is what kind of pressure am i suppose to see from this pump.
i am only seeing 30-34PSI without truck running. i just changed my overflow valve this morning, and when you first turn pump on with new valve it has 43-50 psi then 30seconds later it drops back down. i dont know if it is sucking air, i had a heck of a time getting old fuel line off i coulda put a pin hole in it or if it from it using more fuel and sucking the pickup tube dry. not sure what else it could be thought i would ask everyone here.
if ya got any questions let me know.
thanks
Cody

To get the proper pressure reading from the FASS you are supposed to clamp the return line to check the system.IF after you restrict the return line your pressure does not change then you may desire a larger spring.I have the 150/180-1010@45psi on mine and when it runs normally its shows around 35 psi on the gauge and never moves at all.My presuure is taken from at the port on the FASS unit at the motor and ran front into the pressure gauge sender.
When you restrict my return line,as per Dan@FASS said,it will pin the gauge at a tad over 45psi.Before I changed the spring mine was weak 34psi restricted and showed about 28psi.Did the 12v system you have come with a relay to trigger the pump or do you have it wired directly into the fuse panel?.......Andy
