Default 12 valve Powerhouse?

If you had $1500 dollars to build a 12 valve with the most horsepower, how would you do it?(no trans mods, just motor)

Personally, i would go with a set of marine 370's ($250), Hx upgraded compressor wheel and housing ($275), Straight Pipe it ($350), Sno water meth injection($375), 024 Delivery Valve($250), then i will do all the free horsepower upgrades like remove fuel plate or use 0 fuel plate, slide forward, close wastegate, with the Hx upgraded compressor and housing the turbo will be 40psi of boost, take 4k donor springs out of a donor vehicle when you find one. This is most likely estimated 400 horsepower to the wheels. Whats your budget build and estimated horsepower?

No you will not, you can safely run those mods on stock gasket and head bolts

you can run compounds and huge injectors on a stock head gasket and head bolts.... the difference is with twins you tend to have a 1:1 intake boost to exhaust pressure ratio. using a stock HX exhaust side, with an upgraded compressor side will likely put you in the 1:2 ratio, pushing 75+ psi on the exhaust to only produce 40 psi at the intake. HIGH exhaust back pressure will quickly destroy a head gasket....

BUT you are correct, you can safely run those mods, as long as you don't drive the truck....

and anyway, once you get over 250hp the stock trans is junk. so IF anything, I'd do a valve body, it will prolong the inevitable and add more line pressure in hopes it will help the less than adequate stock converter live to see a few more days....
