Default Does it need any lube?

Just had a 3-piece exhaust manifold installed. Do the slipjoints need any lube, or do they just work dry?

There're others besides petroleum, I'd expect. The TDR guys have been counseling anti-seize, but, I think they're thinking of a 3-piece that arrived disassembled. Mine was already pressed, AND it's already installed. Are there any anti-seize compounds that can be sprayed on and progressively seep into that crack?

Well, I called Brett at DPS in Salt Lake City this morning. No lube needed. No way to get it in there, anyway. The slipjoints are straight, and they fit'em together by chilling the male portions in liquid nitrogen, and heating the female fittings for expansion. He said some of the other companies use a balljoint that does have leak issues, but, their process precludes that possibility. Woohoo!
