The can was pressed by a machine shop and keyed. When I installed, I lined up timing marks. Is that not correct?

When you degree it in, it ensures the valve events are happening at the correct time. There are offset keys that can be used to properly time the cam to spec.

ISNT 40 psi a little to much though? I would think no more than 25 but thats also VP44. I know if you give the pump to much pressure it will have ideling issues.

Had this pump prior to these issues. No problem with start up before this. Only time I ever had start up issues was when my lift pump was going out. Oh, and a leaky fuel line once. |
40 psi is great for a p pump will not hurt it at all
