its the sensor on the back of the cp3. if u look down on the pump its stickin straight out with a plug on it.

 

Is there a resistance I can check for on that sensor? Or does it leak? I would imagine it would throw a code if the sensor on the back of the cp3 is craping out right? Anymore info on this Fca and how to test it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

i dont know im having hell with mine right now also. if u have a rail pressure gauge start the truck and unplug the fca. if its your problem it will quit surging. if its not it will make your truck rattle really bad. might do that anyway though

 

Is this only occurring when accelerating? Light, moderate, heavy acceleration, or all ranges of acceleration? If moderate and acceleration only, I would bet it's the common 1-2-1-2 stutter that plagues a lot of 48re's.

I don't think it's a problem with the fca, unless the truck is dying, stalling, rough idling, &/or thrown CEL's.
