Default Transmission fluid capacity

Looking to see how much transmission fluid I need. Dodge cummins 2004 with the 48re 4x4. Just did a complete rebuild of the transmission and with a new triple disk torque converter. The transmission shop guy said 18 Liters. Is this true???

Overhaul is 14.5-16.5 quarts, 14-16L, or 3.75-4.25 gal.

It wouldn't hurt to have 18L on hand. Extra is always better then the alternative.

Thanks for the replies. What would happen if there was not enough or too much transmission fluid installed?
