New guy with questions
Hey all,
I'm an ex-powerstroker (97 F250) that found an '06 4x4 cummins powered megacab. I've had it about a week now and I love it. I do have a couple of questions because each powerplant is different.
1: it has a drive vibration that I can't tell if it's from the motor or the tires. Fast vibration felt on the floor not in the steering wheel. It seems to have a bouncy wheel as well. Just one side that I can tell. Any suggestions to help problem solve would be great.
2: What are the normal operating temps for these trucks?
3: rpm sweet spot?
4: Any particular brand of shocks you would recommend? (I know this is a personal preference, but just need ideas)

1) Check for a seizing u-joint or bad carrier bearing...
2) Depends on the gauge, but typically between 190*F and 205*F...the OE gauge is influenced by the ECM and heavily dampened (slow response)...
3) Around 1600 to 1800 RPM...
4) Most will tell you Bilstein...
