Default Air bag light on and off randomly

I have a 06 with 103xxx miles on it. Over the weekend the airbag light will randomly come on and off, sometimes more often than others. First is it something to worry about and second how do I make it stop. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks for your help

I haven't checked my cruze, I never use it but I will check it today. So is it safe to run until I get it fixed??? Thank you so much for your response.

Cruse does not work. Sounds like the clock spring like you described. I hope it is safe to drive because my dad has to take it on a trip tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.

It won't go off randomly if that's what your worried about. But it might not go off if it needs to as well... But it's "safe" to drive until it gets fixed

You answered both my questions. Next question is how hard is it to fix? Is it something I should try to tackle or let it to experts?
