Default exhaust and rims

Alright guys I'm asking for your opinions on some things...

I'm looking at some mbrp ex. Kits and I'm torn between 5 inch with mbrpmuffler or 4 inch duals with mbrp muffler since the guy i bought the truck from just straight piped it with the cat and put a 5-6 inch truck stack tip going straight back. And I'm not to keen on the look. I don't have any mods yet. Key word yet haha. And yes I'm also wondering if taking the cat off with cause a noticable amount of turbo lag or no? And if it will effect the performance of it currently.

Now the rims. The truck came wth older xd rims and there starting to pit n what not n would like to keep em for winter rims and if you know of any company's that make an 18x10 rim. I'm thinkin with a -24 off set?

Thanks, Cole

My 05 is straight piped from the down pipe but there were some minor changes from the 05 to 06 with emissions. I don't see any lag without my cat at all. If you take yours off, keep it til you are sure you don't want or need it. Unless you are wanting to make it quieter, I would not go with a 5" exhaust. I would keep the 4" all the way from the down pipe until you get to the tip. There you can go as big as you want.

Wheels are not my forte. I have had issues with previous vehicles and wheels so, I stick with the factory wheels.

IMO 5" sounds a lot better than 4" but then again I think 3rd gens sound horrible straight piped. So I would say a 5" with a muffler. I would also look into some of our vendors here on DB they can get you some good deals. Just request a quote on the appropriate thread.

Far as wheels well like they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So that one is pretty much all up to you. I rock 3rd gen wheels on my 2nd gen so......

Thanks for the opinions guys. a friend of mine on his 07 5.9 cummins hes got 5 inch straight and its purty damn loud... Haha ill have to see what i can do with the vendors.

I kinda wish I had the factory rims for winter up here in Minn. But that's why I'm sorta looking for new rims that I pick out to make the truck more of mine so to speak. I like the old xd's but I really do like the xd revolver.. or if I could find a decent set of dick cepek dc-1's in an 18x10 that would be amazing haha

Thanks for the opinions guys will definatly be looking stuff up haha
